  • nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 6 oz soda, of choice
  • powdered sugar, or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Line a 8-inch (20 cm) square baking dish with parchment paper and grease well with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the brownie mix and soda with an electric hand mixer until well combined with no lumps, about 2 minutes.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and bake for 35–40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Let the brownies cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder, if desired.
  • Cut into 12 squares
  • Enjoy!
