- •2 large onions
- •2 medium tomatoes
- •2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
- •½ teaspoon green chili paste
- •1 cup fresh cilantro
- •¼ cup fresh mint
- •½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- •2 tablespoons curry powder
- •½ teaspoon coriander powder
- •1 tablespoon yogurt
- •1 tablespoon lime juice
- •¼ cup butter, or oil
- •2 lb chicken, bone in or boneless
- •salt, according to taste
- •3 cups basmati rice, washed and soaked for 15 minutes
- •6 cups hot water
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients (except basmati rice) together and add to a heavy bottom pan. Cook for 15 minutes.
- Add hot water and check salt . Add rice and cook for 8-10 more minutes on medium heat, covered.
- Serve warm.
