- •0.5 cup light corn syrup
- •0.25 cup lemon juice
- •2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- •0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- •0.25 teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
- •4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- •2 onions, quartered
- •1 (8 ounce) package fresh chopped mushrooms
- •1 green bell pepper, cut into large chunks
Instructions
- Whisk together vegetable oil, soy sauce, light corn syrup, lemon juice, sesame seeds, garlic powder, and garlic salt in a medium bowl. Add chicken; stir to coat. Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Thread chicken onto skewers alternately with onions, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Pour marinade into a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook until slightly thickened, 5 to 10 minutes.
- Place skewers on the preheated grill; cook, turning frequently, until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear, 15 to 20 minutes. Baste frequently with boiled marinade during the last 10 minutes.
