  • 1 whole chicken, boneless, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • ½ lemon
  • 6 curry leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons gram flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • oil
  • 3 tablespoons curd
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add boneless chicken. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and ginger garlic paste.
  • In a small bowl add curd and red food coloring. Whisk it until curd is smooth and add mixture to the marinated chicken. Mix and massage well.
  • Add a few drops of oil to the marinated chicken. Let the marinated chicken rest overnight in the fridge.
  • Add chopped curry leaves, gram flour and corn flour to the chicken. Mix it well before deep frying it.
  • In a deep pan, add 2 cups (480 ml) of oil and heat on high.. Once the oil is hot, drop in the marinated chicken one at a time.
  • Remove the chicken once cooked and crispy. Serve. .
