Ingredients
6 servings
- •8 oz cream cheese, softened
- •2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- •2 tablespoons fresh italian parsley, chopped
- •½ cup sliced scallions
- •¼ cup heavy cream
- •50 garlic cloves
- •1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- •1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley
- •1 large egg
- •6 4-inch buns of your choice
- •grated parmesan cheese, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the cream cheese filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, parsley, scallions, and heavy cream with a spatula until combined. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Make the garlic butter: Use a food processor to finely chop the garlic. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the garlic, melted butter, parsley, and egg until combined.
- Assemble the cheese bread: Use a sharp knife to cut 3 radial slices down the middle of each bun, about 70% of the way through (do not cut all the way to the bottom).
- Pipe the cream cheese filling into the cuts of each bun, reserving any remaining filling for garnish. Dip the top of each roll into the garlic butter, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the buns with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake the buns in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until browned.
- Pipe the reserved cream cheese filling on top of the buns and garnish with scallions.
- Enjoy!
