- •1 12-ounce tube refrigerated biscuit dough
- •6 large eggs
- •½ cup milk
- •½ teaspoon black pepper
- •½ teaspoon salt
- •1 lb cooked sausage
- •1 cup shredded cheese
- •4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- •4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- •salt, to taste
- •black pepper, to taste
- •2 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pepper, and salt.
- Make the gravy: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper until the flour is well-incorporated and the raw flavor has cooked out, then slowly pour in the milk. Increase to medium-high, bring to a simmer, stirring until gravy is thickened.
- Layer the biscuits, sausage, cheese, egg mixture, and gravy in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the eggs on the bottom are cooked.
