Ingredients
6 servings
- •1 (8 ounce) package bow tie pasta
- •0.25 cup butter
- •1 clove garlic, minced
- •0.25 cup all-purpose flour
- •0.5 teaspoon salt
- •0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
- •2 cups milk
- •2.5 cups shredded Colby cheese
- •0.5 teaspoon prepared mustard
- •4 ounces cooked ham, julienned
- •0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook bow tie pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper; cook and stir until smooth and fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, then bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Stir Colby cheese and mustard; cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted. Remove from the heat and stir in pasta and ham. Pour mixture into a 2-quart baking dish and sprinkle Parmesan over top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
