Ingredients

- •2 tablespoons olive oil
- •1 onion, chopped
- •1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- •1 lb ground beef
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tablespoon brown sugar
- •1 tablespoon cumin
- •1 tablespoon cilantro powder
- •3 tablespoons chili powder
- •3 ½ cups tomato, diced
- •2 tablespoons tomato paste
- •2 ½ cups red kidney bean, washed and dried
- •1 green pepper, diced
- •2 cups whole kernel corn
Instructions
- In a large pan, cook the onions and pepper flakes in olive oil until the onions are translucent. Then, add the beef and garlic and saute until cooked.
- Add the brown sugar, cumin, cilantro and chili powder. Mix, then add the diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add the red kidney beans and cool for another 20 minutes.
- Add the green pepper and corn. Simmer together for 5 minutes.
- Serve.
