- •2 lb apple, (Golden / Ginger gold / Canada / Boskoop / Fuji)
- •½ cup water
- •½ teaspoon lemon juice
- •½ teaspoon ginger, peeled and grated
- •1 teaspoon cinnamon
- •½ teaspoon pepper
- •1 teaspoon raw honey
Instructions
- Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut the apples into small equal pieces. Put the apple pieces in a pot and add water
- Add all the other ingredients: Lemon juice, cinnamon, pepper, and ginger. Simmer for 2 minutes at high flame while gently mixing all the ingredients with a wooden spoon.
- Cover it and reduce the flame to medium for 5 minutes to bring to a boil.
- Uncover it, add honey, then gently mix again with the wooden spoon, cover it and simmer on low flame for 20 minutes. Cook until you get a soft texture. Add 5 minutes if necessary.
- Serve warm and/or store.
