  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cups rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup molasses
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 0.66666698455811 cup sunflower seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 9-inch square baking pans.
  • In a large bowl, stir together flours, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, stir together eggs, honey, molasses, applesauce, and oil; pour into flour mixture and stir until well blended. Mix in raisins and sunflower seeds. Divide batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the tops spring back when lightly pressed, about 45 minutes. Cool in the pans for at least 10 minutes.
  • Cut each pan into 18 squares or bars. Wrap pieces individually and store in the refrigerator or freezer.
