  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Combine tomato juice, tomato paste, brown sugar, garlic, oregano, basil, marjoram, bay leaf, and salt in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cover. Simmer until thickened, about 45 minutes.
