- •0.25 cup all-purpose flour, or as needed
- •2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- •1 medium onion, sliced
- •1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- •1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Season steak with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour; shake off any excess.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear steaks in hot oil, then transfer to a large casserole dish. Sprinkle onion, pepper, and garlic over top; pour 2 cups water into the dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until steak is tender and vegetables are soft, about 1 1/2 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the steak should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.
