  • 4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water, or as needed
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Season cube steaks on both sides with salt and pepper. Place flour in a shallow bowl; press steaks into the flour and shake off any excess.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Pour enough water into the skillet to almost cover steaks.
  • Stir in beef bouillon and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until very tender, about 2 hours.
