  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup canned pumpkin
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease and flour muffin pan or use paper liners.
  • Whisk sugar, oil, and eggs together in a medium bowl. Stir in pumpkin and water until well blended.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  • Add pumpkin mixture into flour mixture and stir just to combine, being careful not to overmix. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  • Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
