- •4 large eggs
- •1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
- •0.75 cup vegetable oil
- •0.5 cup water
- •1 cup brown sugar
- •0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- •2 cups confectioners' sugar
- •0.25 cup milk
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
- Whisk together cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over batter.
- Pour remaining batter on top; gently swirl batter a few times with a table knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
- Make icing: Stir together confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and runny.
- Pour over hot cake; allow to cool before serving.
