  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup white vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water

Instructions

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels, then crumble and set aside.
  • Whisk sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in a medium bowl. Slowly pour in vinegar and water, whisking constantly.
  • Place crumbled bacon in a medium skillet over medium heat. Pour in vinegar mixture; cook and stir until mixture thickens.
