Filipino Chicken Sisig Wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon light soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium size onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • romaine lettuce
  • green onion, chopped, for garnishing (optional)
  • lemon, sliced, optional

Instructions

  • In a pan on high heat, cook ground chicken on high until lightly browned. Once cooked, add black pepper , soy sauce and salt.
  • Continue to stir until the chicken has absorbed juice and become golden-brown. To this, add chopped onion and jalapeño.
  • Let the onions cook slowly until about half done. At this point, add mayonnaise and lemon juice into the mixture and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions, scoop into lettuce cups, garnish if desired, and serve.
  • Enjoy!
