- •1 onion, chopped
- •0.25 cup green bell pepper
- •1 medium head cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
- •0.25 cup water
- •1 clove garlic, crushed
- •2 sprigs fresh thyme
- •1 Scotch bonnet chile, seeded and thinly sliced
- •salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell pepper; cook and stir until slightly softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Add cabbage, water, garlic, and thyme; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and steam until cabbage is tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Stir in Scotch bonnet chile until warmed through; season with salt and pepper.
