- •4 large potatoes, peeled and grated, drained
- •½ large onion, grated and drained
- •1 egg
- •¼ cup flour
- •1 tablespoon salt
- •1 teaspoon black pepper
- •oil
- •1 scallion
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt and pepper. Mix well and form into palm size circles.
- Heat oil to 380°F before placing the latkes in the pan. Then, fry for about 4-5 minutes per side, until nice and brown.
- Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil.
- Garnish with chopped up green scallions. Serve.
