  • 0.25 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag mixed salad greens
  • 1 medium orange, peeled and broken into sections
  • 1 small fennel bulb, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup slivered almonds
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  • Make the dressing: Whisk together sugar, vinegar, oil, basil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until sugar dissolves.
  • Make the salad: Toss salad greens, orange sections, fennel, onion, almonds, and cranberries together in a large bowl.
  • To serve, pour dressing over salad and toss to combine.
