Ingredients

- •1 gal apple cider
- •4 cups non-pulp orange juice
- •4 earl grey teabags
- •3 cinammon sticks
- •2 packets mulling spices
- •3 whole star anises
- •1 fresh ginger, 2-in (5-cm) piece, peeled
- •1 orange, sliced into rounds
- •1 apple, sliced
- •2 cups whiskey
Instructions
- In a large pot over high heat, add the apple cider, orange juice, tea bags, cinnamon sticks, mulling spice packets, star anise, peeled ginger, sliced oranges and apples. Let it come to a boil then turn down to low, cover with a lid, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain out the ginger and star anise.
- Add one shot of whiskey into a mug and pour, warmed, into the mug.
- Garnish with optional cinnamon sticks, orange slices, etc.
- Serve.
