8 servings

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until evenly browned and crumbly, 7 to 8 minutes. Remove from the heat and sprinkle flour over top; stir until beef is evenly coated and all fat is absorbed.
  • Return the skillet to the stove over medium heat. Stir in 2 cups milk; cook and stir until warm and beginning to thicken, 3 to 5 minutes. Add remaining 2 cups milk; cook and stir until desired consistency has been reached and gravy comes to a boil, about 5 minutes. Season with onion salt, salt, and pepper.
