Ingredients

  • 6 oz skinless salmon fillet
  • salt, to taste
  • whole black peppercorn, to taste
  • fresh thyme, to taste
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Fill a pan with enough water to submerge the salmon fillet. Bring the water to a simmer.
  • Add the salt, peppercorns, thyme, and lemon to the simmering water, then gently add the salmon fillet. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon from the poaching liquid and season with salt and ground black pepper. Serve with more lemon for squeezing.
  • Enjoy!
