  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cream brown and white sugars with butter in a medium bowl. Stir in vanilla, egg white, and water. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; stir into creamed mixture. Mix in chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned and edges are set, 8 to 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
