- •1 onion, chopped
- •4 potatoes, cubed
- •2 cups water, or as needed
- •2 cups tomato puree
- •1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
- •2.5 tablespoons chili powder
- •2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
- Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté beef and onion in the hot pan until onion is almost tender, about 5 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in potatoes, water, tomato purée, beans, chili powder, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes. Add more water if a thinner chili is desired.
