40 servings
- •1 cup all purpose flour
- •¼ cup granulated white sugar
- •¼ cup brown sugar
- •1 egg
- •⅓ cup oil
- •1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- •¼ teaspoon baking powder
- •¼ teaspoon salt
- •milk, if needed
- •¾ teaspoon matcha powder, optional

- Preheat the oven to 320°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, oil, sugar, and vanilla extract. Then, sift in the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add a few tablespoons of milk at a time to thin the batter if needed; the batter should be loose and smooth, similar to cake batter.
- If making matcha cookies too, divide the batter equally into 2 bowls and incorporate the matcha powder into one of the bowls.
- Using a spoon, drop the batter onto a greased tray to form individual cookies. Gently press 2-3 chocolate chips onto the top of each cookie.
- Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges; let cool.
- Enjoy!
