Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 cup salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, water, and salt in a large bowl; mix well and knead for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer dough to a floured work surface and knead until soft and pliable.
  • Roll out to a thickness of 1/8 inch; cut desired shapes with cookie cutters.
  • Transfer dough shapes to ungreased cookie sheets; use a toothpick to make a hole in each ornament for hanging.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until hard, about 30 minutes; allow to cool.
