  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Drizzle olive oil into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once oil is hot, add asparagus spears; cover and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add water and cover to steam asparagus and keep it from drying out. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes or until asparagus is tender. Season with salt and pepper.
